Devil's Purse Brewing + CS Presents: Summer Jazz

Free Jazz Fridays are BACK 6/27 at @devilspursebrewing 😍🥁🎹🎺🎷🎶 @capesymphony_presents will bring free live jazz performances to Devil’s Purse Brewing Company Friday evenings from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, June 27 - August 29, 2025. There will be no concert July 4. Here is the lineup: 🎺 Joe Mongelli/Scott Avidon & the Cape Jazz Crew kick off the series June 27 with classics from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Art Blakey and Horace Silver. The band is: Joe Mongelli, trumpet and flugelhorn; Scott Avidon, saxophone; Cape Symphony faculty member @matthewhutchinson7805 piano; Mike Ryle, upright bass; and Michael Dundord, drums. 🎹 Latin jazz duo @ninaottmusic and Chris Lopes bring the unique sounds of organ and drumset to the Devil’s Purse patio on July 11. 🎹 The Art Ensemble of Cape Cod will perform July 18. Pianist Wayne Naus, bassist Rick Cain, and drummer John DiSanto play jazz standards and original music inspired by life on the Cape. 🎧 On July 25, DJ @p.rhythmryder will spin danceable grooves and laid-back jazz vibes encompassing Cuban, Afrobeat, Japanese, Brazilian, French, Blue Note classics, Scandinavian, and Latin rhythms. 🎙️ Popular Cape Cod talents @matt3boys1girl vocalist and Fred Boyle, pianist will entertain as a duo on August 1. 🥁 August 8 brings regional favorites Tish Adams & @evening_sky_band to perform “jazz, blues and a few surprises.” 🎙️ The @oliviayingling Quartet will play jazz standards, bossa nova, and Latin jazz on August 15. 🎸 Vocalist @sara_enchanted and guitarist @patryanmusic head up Sara & The Blue Notes, performing on August 22. 🪈 The Cape Cod Jazz Quartet — Steve Ahern, trumpet and flute; Fred Boyle, piano; Ron Ormsby, bass; and @bartweismanmusic , drums – will close out the series with beloved jazz standards on August 29. @redriverbbq food truck will be on site each Friday 🍖
